Christina Applegate will get special birthday gift November 6, 2008

Christina Applegate has had a tough year, but don’t feel bad for her.  She is a survivor.

After going thru a double masectomy in July she will undergo reconstructive surgery at the end of this month,  just in time for her 37th Birthday.

“I still have quite a process until this is done,” she says in the new issue of TV Guide. “Yes, it’s hard. It sucks. But I’m not a victim.”

Ever since she was diagnosed she has changed her outlook on life.

“I started looking for a beach house the day I found out I had this little disease,” she says. “You just kind of go, ‘What are you waiting for to get the things that you want and the things you dream of?’

“I don’t own tomorrow or yesterday – today is all I’ve got,” she adds. “And if I don’t make today good, then I’m only gonna’ be pissed off tomorrow!”

Bachelorette star DeAnna Pappas Calls Off Engagement to Jesse Csincsak!

“I kind of feel like it’s our responsibility to tell you we’re not together anymore,” he says.

“DeAnna broke up with me two days ago, and I just wanted to come on here and tell you guys face-to-face,” he continues. “I’m sorry – I did everything in my power to try and make this work.

“She’s a great person, but she wasn’t willing to try anymore,” he says. “She wanted something different. The answer I got was, ‘I love you, but I’m not in love with you.’

“That’s a lot to swallow, no matter who you are,” he says. “It’s a lot to take in.”

How long before Jesse becomes the next Bachelor?

Patrick Swayze goes back to Beast October 29, 2008

Patrick Swayze, the man the miracle! Man oh man, how happy am I that Patrick Swayze beat the odds against pancreatic cancer! No he is not 100% cured or anything but he has made it so far!

10 months ago the “Dirty Dancing” star was diagnosed but it won’t keep him away from his love of acting. Swayze spoke to the New York Times about his new A&E series, “The Beast.”

“I do find myself, at the end of the day, riding home sort of catching myself with a smile on my face… I’m proud of what I’m doing,” he said.

Patrick has been fighting the disease with a combination of chemotherapy, an experimental drug called Vatalanib and “muscle-building shakes.”

“I’m still fine to work, I haven’t changed — oh, I have changed, what am I saying? It’s a battle zone I go through. Chemo, no matter how you cut it, is hell on wheels.”

What keeps him going?

“How do you nurture a positive attitude when all the statistics say you’re a dead man?” Swayze said. “You go to work!”

Jonathan Ross & Russell Brand suspended by BBC!

Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand are to be suspended and all their shows taken off air until the BBC has investigated their prank calls made on Radio 2.

Brand and Ross made a series of prank calls to Sachs, 78, famous for his part in Fawlty Towers. The calls were broadcast on Radio 2 as part of a Russell Brand’s pre-recorded Saturday night show.

During the calls, Ross revealed Brand had slept with Sachs’ granddaughter. More than 18,000 people complained to the BBC.

OMG these are two of my favorite British tv personalities! Please don’t take them away!

Sachs told the BBC that since the incident Jonathan Ross has “personally delivered a letter of apology and some flowers.”

Jason Mraz was on Ellen today taking his turn being dunked in a tank full of water in the name charity.  Microsoft and Windows Mobile is donating $10,000 to “Ellen for the Cure” anytime someone gets dunked.

The sexy singer also sang his hit song, “I’m Yours.”

You would think that a fan like me would have already known that he is closing up his tour with a show in South Beach. I didn’t get my tickets yet!  Wouldn’t you know it though, only really far seats are left.  Anyone need a date to the Jason Mraz show in Florida?
