Why wasn’t Johnny Depp invited?
I know all my fellow Alan Rickman fans are foaming at the mouth with this new announcement! The word is that Alan Rickman has joined the already fabulous cast of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland!” Rickman will play the le of the hookah-smoking Caterpillar.
Also added to cast are Christopher Lee who’s role in the film is still undisclosed and Eleanor Tomlinson who will star as Fiona Chataway, a friend of Alice created specifically for the Burton adaptation.
The movie has a release date in 2010, I can’t wait!
Creepy thin man, Crispin Glover is the newest addition to an already amazing cast set to star in Tim Burton’s, “Alice in Wonderland.” He joins Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.
I love Crispin. He plays such weird characters including the Creepy thin man in “Charlie’s Angels” and George McFly in the “Back to the Future” series.
In “Alice in Wonderland” he will play the role of the Knave of Hearts. The Knave of Hearts is put on trial for stealing the Queen of Hearts’ tarts and is defended by Alice.
It has been confirmed! Johnny Depp has accepted the role of the Mad Hatter in the upcoming “Alice in Wonderland” movie by Tim Burton. Depp and Burton have worked together in “Edward Scissorhands,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” and “Sweeny Todd.”
Disney formally announced the casting Wednesday at a studio presentation.
The new live-action/CG-animated version of a girl who follows a rabbit and falls into a hole and finds herself in a strange world will be given the Burton touch and packaged for the fans to watch March 5, 2010.
