Emma Watson premieres The Tale of Despereaux December 7, 2008

Emma Watson premiered her latest movie, “The Tale of Despereaux” in Los Angeles today. Emma recently chatted with MTV about her latest role as Princess Pea, Harry Potter, and more!

Do you see a lot of differences between Hermione and Princess Pea?

Watson: Hermione is a real tomboy. Princess Pea is very graceful, and she’s more subtle. She’s much more girly. I just felt really sorry for her. She’s very alone.

Have you seen “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” yet?

Watson: No! I’m dying over here. I literally can’t wait any longer. I think I’ll get to see it in January.

What’s next for you?

Watson: I’m attached to a film called “Napoleon and Betsy,” which will hopefully get shot in 2010. I’ve got the colossal final book ["Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"] to finish off, and I’m going to university in September. I’m looking at scripts and auditioning. I’m very excited to do roles beyond “Potter.” It’s a very exciting time for me.

Where are you going to school?

Watson: I may stay in the U.K., but I’m also looking at universities in the States, on the East Coast probably. I’ve applied already to some schools over there.

What kind of roles are you looking for after “Harry Potter” is done?

Watson: I want when people look back on my career for them to not be able to put me in a box and say, “She always played this kind of role.” I want to do everything. I would love to be in a musical. I want to sing. I want to do a crazy Baz Luhrmann “Moulin Rouge!” sort of thing. I’d love to do a period piece. I’d love to do a French film. There are so many options out there!

What about theater? Would you ever take it all off onstage as Daniel Radcliffe’s been doing in “Equus”?

Watson: I think Dan is incredibly brave. I would be completely terrified!

You can see “The Tale of Despereaux” in theaters on December 19th.

Does Valentino have jaundice? November 25, 2008

Fashion designer Valentino Garavani was spotted at the New York premiere for the Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman film “Australia.” Is it just me or is he a tad bit too orange?

It could be that he suffers from jaundice in which case I’m a rude and insensitive bitch, if not then buddy needs some help!

Mega stars Meryl Streep and Amy Adams premiered their latest flick entitled, “Doubt” at the 2008 AFI Fest in Hollywood last night. This film which stars Streep and Adams as nuns, got to wear unusual costumes!

“The habit… it got to be a habit,” Meryl deadpanned for ET cameras on dressing in the classic nun’s uniform for her latest drama. “What I wore in the movie was so easy, it lacked all vanity and I didn’t have to suck in, so I almost prefer it,” Amy commented.

In this movie, two Sisters of Charity (Meryl Streep, Amy Adams) get into a disagreement with the parish priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman) overseeing their Bronx parochial school in 1964.

James Franco: Got Milk? October 30, 2008

Hottie James Franco attended the premiere of his latest flick, “Milk” on Tuesday.  Franco along with his co-stars Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch and Josh Brolin took the opportunity to promote awareness of Proposition 8.

“This film premiere especially is going to generate a lot of attention for Prop 8,” Emile Hirsch told Access. “I think it’s going to be really helpful for [the fight against] Prop 8.”

James Franco echoed Emile’s thoughts, telling Access, “We’re lucky that we have this night. This is a really big night for San Francisco and it’s just great that this is happening right before Prop 8.”

The film is about the life of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man voted into public office in America.

James plays Harvey’s partner Scotty in the film, thinks the actual Harvey would have been proud to see the film premiere in his own neighborhood.

“He’d love it. [Harvey] helped start the gay pride parade here on Castro and he certainly enjoyed a good party and everything that we’re celebrating in this movie,” James said.

Milk hits theaters on November 26th.

Body of Lies Premieres! October 6, 2008

I feel old!  I remember watching Leonardo Di Caprio when he was on “Growing Pains” and thinking what a cutie!  Here we are all these years later and he has grown up to be such a gorgeous man!

His latest flick, “Body of Lies” with buddy Russell Crowe premiered last night.  The duo first starred together in the 1993 film “Quick and the Dead.”

In this film, Leo and Russell play CIA operatives who team up to track an al-Qaeda leader rumored to be planning attacks against America. Leo’s character is an ex-journalist-turned-CIA agent who is sent to Amman to work with Jordan’s intelligence chief, played by Russell.

Leo finally confesses that he’d like to get married and have children someday.

Angie and Brad step out! October 5, 2008

It must be tough being Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie! Besides being super mega movie stars, they are the parents of 6 children between the ages of 3 months to 8 years old! Though Angie claims that her and partner Brad are sleep deprived, I think she looked breathtaking last night at the premiere of her latest movie, “Changeling.”

“We are a little bit [sleep deprived],” the actress told People. “We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.”

The older children help out with the new babies too! “They’re funny. They want to help a lot now, but they’re still so little, so it’s like trying to change a diaper, you have to be careful because they squeeze them so tight.”

She also explained that it was odd being out of the limelight for so long, “Not nervous as much as I just took a deep breath because it¹s been so long. It felt a little strange.”

So are Brangelina planning to add to their family?  Angie says, “I think we’re going to wait a little while.”

Premiere of Miracle at St. Anna September 23, 2008

Spike Lee’s latest film, Miracle at St. Anna premiered last night at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York.  I saw the preview for this movie, I think during “The Dark Knight” and thought this is going to be a very big film this year.
