Mark Ruffalo’s brother shot December 3, 2008

Mark Ruffalo and his family have received horrible news this week.  Mark’s younger brother Scott was shot in the head in his Beverly Hills apartment on Monday.

“Our detectives will not say if it was a shooting,” Beverly Hills Police Department spokesman Tony Lee told E! News. “All we can say is that we are investigating some suspicious circumstance that [occurred] early Monday morning.”

A rep for Mark Ruffalo has no comment at this time, citing that the case is an ongoing police investigation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ruffalo family.

Julianne Hough mad at her peeps! October 28, 2008

Julianne is mad at her management company!  They wanted her to lie about her medical condition.

Hough says:

“Actually what happened is last week was more than just a tummy ache. Obviously. It turned out I ruptured a cyst that was on my ovary. I didn’t’ know but I have endometriosis. I’ve apparently had it for a long time because I’ve had this pain for about the last five years. It hasn’t been as bad. Up till last week, I let it go and I was always too busy to get it checked out. But because it happened when I was on set, they made me go to the doctor.

She claims “my management and the other people around me were trying to think of something else I could say that was wrong with me, but I was like, don’t worry. I want to be a good role model.”

Good for her for being honest!  Will she return to “Dancing with the Stars?”

“I’m going to hopefully be back, if everything goes well, next week,”
Hough said.

Zac Efron strikes it BIG! October 21, 2008

“High School Musical” star Zac Efron has just signed on to be in the new “Pirates of the Caribbean 4!” Wait that isn’t the whole story, he is going to make 12 million dollars!!! That’s double what he made on “High School Musical 3!”

An insider revealed: “Zac was extremely interested. But Disney realized they couldn’t make the fourth Pirates movie without Johnny. They had to offer him a small fortune to do it.”

Depp, 45, will reportedly take home £30million to reprise the role of Captain Jack Sparrow.

But Disney still wanted to groom a successor to Johnny — so they went back to Efron to offer him a part.

Wait…..what? There is no way Zac Efron could be Depp’s successor!

Tea Leoni and David Duchovny are over October 15, 2008

Is today official break-up day? Tea Leoni and David Duchovny have split up after 11 years of marriage and two children. The “X-Files” star was recently treated for sex addiction.

“In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months,” said a statement released by their publicists.

“The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children.”

There is speculation that David was being treated for an internet porn addiction. On the contrary, there is gossip that he has been a compulsive cheater! Either way, I hope they are able to work stuff out for the sake of their kids.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are over!

I want to hear from one person out there who is shocked by this news!  The soon-to-be-exes have confirmed today that they are indeed getting a divorce.

Their reps released the following statement:

“Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage.  They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time.”

A highly-placed source told The Sun: “It’s very sad. They were a great couple and brilliant parents. They just couldn’t live together any more.”

Earlier this year, Guy flew to New York to be by Madonna’s side amidst rumors of her infidelity with the then married Yankee player, Alex Rodriguez.  Although the two denied they were having an affair, the two were spotter recently having dinner together.

Guy seems to have finally tired of having his career play second fiddle to Madonna’s.  So he is wants out now!

Will this divorce turn into a nasty battle like Christy Brinkley’s divorce?

Lil’ Kim can’t sing! October 8, 2008

Brookland Media is suing Lil Kim for 2.4 million dollars for not delivering all the recordings their contract requires of her.  The lawsuit says Brookland contracted with Lil’ Kim this year and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on recordings, equipment and advance payments.

But as of September she had recorded only a few tracks toward a new album.  A New York judge has temporarily barred the rapper from recording any new material until this lawsuit is resolved.

Brookland Media claims they have spent the following on Lil’ Kim thus far:

They paid Atlantic Records $200,000 to get her out of her previous contract, spent $240,000 to produce eight songs and shelled out $12,000 per month in rent for a pad near Kim’s Alpine, N.J., home.

Lil Kim’s attorney Londell McMillan tells the New York Daily News, “We think they’re wonderful people and we expect to do business with them.  But they did not honor the terms of the agreement.”

Here I thought her biggest problem was her addiction to plastic surgery she seems to have!

DJ AM Benefit Concert Announced

D.J. A.M. (Adam Goldstein) is still recovering from that horrible learjet crash that killed 4 people and badly burned him and Travis Barker.  His friends have decided to throw him a “Welcome Home” party with the benefits of the ticket sales to go towards memorial funds for the families of those who perished, pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, Calif.; security guard Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles; and Travis Barker’s assistant Chris Baker, 29, also of Los Angeles.

The “Welcome Home D.J. A.M.” event will take place on October 17th Avalon Hollywood.

“This a once in a lifetime event and we’re proud to be a part of it,” the organizers said in a statement Wednesday.

Paul McCartney is mad at McDonalds! October 7, 2008

Sir Paul is pissed! He is a known vegetarian and is mad at McDonalds because they put up pictures of the Beatles to attract customers.

Sir Paul’s spokesman Geoff Baker fumed: “What sort of morons do McDonald’s think Beatles fans are?

“It’s ridiculous and insulting to use images to peddle hamburgers. Fans should boycott McDonald’s — and not just in Liverpool.”

A PETA spokeswoman said: “He became a vegetarian after watching lambs play in a field outside his home and surely would not want anyone to use his likeness to help promote meat.

“We hope anyone who sees his picture on the wall will be reminded that he’s a vegetarian and skip the Big Mac for a veggie burger.”

A McDonald’s spokeswoman insisted the pictures were to “acknowledge the outstanding contribution the Beatles made to both local and global culture”.

Helio Castroneves is busted! October 2, 2008

Didn’t Helio hear about Wesley Snipes problems?  Two-time Indianapolis 500 AND “Dancing with the Stars” champion Helio Castroneves has been busted for multi-million dollar tax evasion!  Seriously Helio, none of us LIKE paying taxes but we have to!

Helio, his sister, Kati, and an attorney, Allan Miller, have been indicted for concealing more than $5 million in wages over a four-year period.  He is on his way to Miami to answer to these charges.

Oscar winner Helen Mirren is coming out with a confession of her love of snorting cocaine as a young woman.

Mirren said she used to take “a bit of cocaine. I loved coke. I never did a lot, just a little bit at parties.

“But what ended it for me was when they caught Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyon, in the early eighties.

“He was hiding in South America and living off the proceeds of being a cocaine baron.

“And I read that in the paper, and all the cards fell into place and I saw how my little sniff of cocaine at a party had an absolute direct route to this fucking horrible man in South America.

“And from that day I never touched cocaine again. Until that moment I had never grasped the full horrifying structure of what brings coke to our parties in Britain.”
