It’s good to be Kylie Minogue! September 11, 2008

Can you imagine being able to charge $73,000 a minute for your work? Well Kylie Minogue does! She was just hired to perform at a private party that is already being called the most expensive private party ever staged – a $35 million soiree at a new luxury hotel in Dubai.

For a one-hour show she will be paid 4.4 million dollars to entertain 2,000 guests at the opening of the Atlantis Hotel on the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah.  You can expect to see many top celebrities, politicians and of course the Dubai Royal Family in attendance.

The 1539-room luxury hotel, which is expected to welcome its first guests on September 24th.

Are there any celebrities that don’t have their own perfume?  I’ve smelled a couple like Britney Spears, J-Lo’s and Celine Dion and they all smell like crap!  I hope Kyle has something better in store!

Kylie Minogue is Honored July 3, 2008

Australian Pop Star Kylie Minogue has been honored by Britain for her service to music. Kylie received an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, or OBE, from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. Minogue first appeared on British television in the mid-1980s soap opera, “Neighbors.” She has since sold millions of albums and had hits such as “I Should Be So Lucky” and “Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi.”

“It is an incredible honor for me to receive this award. It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognized for doing a job that I love so much,” she said.
