Demi Moore becomes Director! August 6, 2008

Certified Cougar Demi Moore is turning the camera around and becoming a director! Filmofilia is reporting that Demi is set to make her directorial debut with one of the short films in Glamour magazine’s fourth annual Reel Moments series.

Britanny Snow is going to be featured in this film and has this to say about her Director:

“She’s so grounded and normal and a really, really talented director. When it comes to this crazy town and industry, she has a very good handle on who she is…She wore jeans and a T-shirt every day and no makeup. She was just so cool.”

Peter Jackson’s Haunted House for sale May 19, 2008

The house where Peter Jackson (Director, Producer, and Writer of the Lord of the Rings Movies) filmed his 1996 film ‘The Frighteners’ starring Michael J Fox is up for sale. The house is approximately 5,307 square feet with 5 bedrooms and was built in 1982.

Despite a softening market, offers are expected to sweep past the $680,000 government valuation when tenders close on Thursday.

Real estate agent Della Randall said the property had attracted overseas interest.

“It is in the upper tier of house prices; we expect it will sell well above the GV,” she said.

“We have found the upper-tier market quite buoyant compared with the mid-market. People in the upper bracket are not adversely affected by market conditions.”

The large house features a marble-floored foyer leading to a sweeping rimu staircase, a music- media room, formal living and dining rooms, a library-gallery, three-metre high plaster ceilings, chandeliers, a gym, a cellar and a five-car garage.
