Daniel Radcliffe has been taking Broadway by storm with his wonderful performance on “Equus.” I have heard he does a brilliant job and I’m so sad that I live so far from New York and won’t be able to see it.
Daniel was on “The Early Show” this morning to chat about “Harry Potter” and he answers fan questions. He confesses that he shares my love of Central Park, his top 5 favorite bands, and whether or not he’d ever do a musical.

It’s not secret that Emma Watson is thinking of coming to America to finish her education. She was spotted yesterday with a replacement “Harry Potter” on the streets of New York City.
I wonder if she will meet up with Daniel Radcliffe while in town? He is currently on Broadway showing his “magic wand” in Equus.

Emma Watson is Flare Magazine’s November 2008 covergirl! The “Harry Potter” star chats about fashion, movies, and about being famous.
Would she recommend anyone go into show business?
“I would never tell anyone what to do. All I know is that it’s hard, really hard [being famous]. Once you’ve invited the media into your life, you have to live with it. Focusing on school helped me get through it.”
Emma states that she has found comfort in her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
“They’re very protective.”
Although Emma still has more Potter movies to make she does realize that things are starting to change for her.
“I am in a transitional period in a lot of different ways. I am changing and making lots of decisions about my future. It’s a very exciting and slightly scary time.”
Watch for the gorgeous girl in “Napolean and Betsy” where she plays Betsy, the object of the French Emperor’s affection.
Daniel Radcliffe along with his “Harry Potter” co-star Richard Griffiths premiered, Equus for the first time on Broadway. Even though Daniel has performed his part in the show so many times he still gets nervous.
“It was funny because tonight I didn’t expect to be nervous because we’ve done all the previews, we’ve had all the critics here,” Radcliffe said after Thursday’s performance. “I thought, `Oh, we’ll do it tonight, it won’t be so bad.’ But I was terrified before we went out. I was like, `Omigod, this is it.’”
Daniel claims that the “jitters” is what keeps him on stage!
“The jitters should be there ’til the last night of performing — because the jitters are what get you on stage,” he said. “It’s the nerves that make it exciting and vital and make every show different.”
After the show, the cast along with about 400 people attended the official after party held held at a large party room inside a Chelsea Piers building on Manhattan’s west side.
Griffiths, who plays the role Daniel’s psychiatrist in Equus has this to say about him, “He’s growing up so fast — you couldn’t shake a stick at it,” the Tony Award winner said of Radcliffe. “And the quality of his acting is such that it’s taken big strides. And it’s terrific to see. He’s not a kid anymore. He’s a young man and he deserves whatever breaks that brings.”
What is it with British men loving to dress in drag? Don’t get me wrong, I love Eddie Izzard and John Cleese but I just find it so curious that they love to dress like women!
The most recent cross dressing confession comes from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe!
“I think part of me would love to play a drag queen,” he says in the October issue of Details. “It would be an excuse to wear loads of eye makeup.”
He says though he like to take on controversial roles, like his role in Equus his private life is a lot more relaxed.
“I don’t pretend to do anything particularly wild,” he tells the magazine. “People talk about rebellion and they say, ‘Where is the teenage angst?’
“But I say I try to do it simply by the choices I make in the work I do,” Radcliffe goes on. “I just like wrong-footing people. I write poetry and I love it. I like being different from most other people in my generation.”
What is his favorite thing to spend money on?
“The only thing I’m likely to spend on is artwork,” he says, “’cause that’s the only thing I’m interested in that costs a lot of money.”

He said: “Offended mothers were calling in and saying I shouldn’t be doing this, that they weren’t going to see it.
“OK, don’t see it. They’re treating it like it’s pornography and it’s not. It’s only seven minutes at the end of the play when I’m naked, and I’m 19 now.”
