No matter where you are from, if you spend some time in Miami you learn to love the flavor of the Cuban culture. I’m lucky enough to have grown up in Miami AND have a Cuban background. So my love for Cuban cuisine should be no surprise.
After moving a little North in the hopes of avoiding all that lovely traffic that the Palmetto and I-95 has to offer, it was tough to find a good Cuban restaurant in my area. If I wanted to find some nice sazon, I would have to drive a bit out of my way, or I would have to settle for the imitation stuff……Pollo Tropical, Taco Bell and the like.
Then I discovered Havana Coffee Company in Davie. Its a great little place that has only been open for about a month. Their food is phenomenal! I have taken my friends, co-workers, and family members to this new hot spot that even has a table to play dominoes.
Their prices are also very reasonable. Sandwiches range from $3.45-$5.75 and their entrees start at $5.45-$6.95. They also have croquetas, pastelitos, and a mouth watering breakfast selection. My only complaint, not enough parking!
