Hugh Jackman has vowed to quit the X-Men franchise if his new spin-off flick X-Men Origins: Wolverine doesn’t do well at the box office.
I am really hoping that the Wolverine spin-off does well but I don’t know that I want to see anymore X-Men flicks. The third installment was really bad.
Jackman tells Moviehole
‘If it’s clear to us on May second or third that that’s gone, then I’ll walk away happily”, Jackman says of the audience appeal in the character. ”I’m not going to flog something – or flog a dead horse, or try and make movies that people don’t really want to go and see. I have no interest in that. Even no matter how much I love the character. So there are many prerequisites”.
He does confess to having plans for the character and that he has many plans for Wolverine.
“There’s a few story lines that are running my head which I think would be really cool, but unless the script is right, then I just don’t see the point in doing it. I’m probably at the point in my career where I don’t need it. And the last thing I want to do is just to push it on people, if it doesn’t warrant a full feature movie.”
Nicole Kidman is doing the rounds to promote her new film from Baz Luhrmann’s “Australia.” She looks lovely here. She chats openly about all the feelings surrounding the birth of her daughter with husband Keith Urban, Sunday Rose at the age of 41.
She also chats about juggling family and work, working with the “Sexiest Man Alive” Hugh Jackman, horseback riding, and preparing for the holidays.
This is some very exciting news for me! Little Britain U.S.A. is coming back for Season 2! I was worried it would not be returning because I had heard that the ratings weren’t so great but I am not sure many people knew about it.
I also heard that many people were getting offended by the sketches but Little Britain star David Walliams denies these claims. He says that HBO was happy with the end result.
“We’re getting a second series. It was very successful on HBO, it got good viewing figures, great reviews, everyone was really pleased,” Walliams added.
“We’re delighted, we’re very proud of it.”
The duo is known for pushing the limits of television but they are so lucky they are on cable giant HBO where they can get away with a lot more.
“It has some of our most outrageous things in it,” said Walliams.
“Tom and Mark those bodybuilders with the big muscles and their small… it’s not for everybody but we thought it was funny.
“We’re always just trying to entertain people, not offend them, and I think if it’s not your cup of tea, don’t watch it.”
For those of you that loved Season 1 or are curious to see what its all about, Season 1 releases on dvd December 1st.
Funnyman Matt Lucas is currently filming “Alice in Wonderland” alongside Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman.
