Misty May-Treanor has surgery October 7, 2008

Olympic champion and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Misty May-Trainer had surgery to repair a torn Achilles’ tendon today.  Misty injured herself while rehearsing on Friday for the show.

“I was like, ‘OK, I’m an athlete. Tape it up and get back out there,’” she said in a release issued by USA Volleyball. “I never thought in a million years, especially in ballroom, that I would hurt myself.”

Too bad for Misty but its good news for Rocco Dispirito.  The producers are sparing him (he had the lowest scores and lowest votes) until next week.  Too bad for Kim Kardashian, I heard earlier she had hopes of returning to the show.

Sarah McLachlan on Regis and Kelly October 7, 2008

Sarah McLachlan has one of the most beautiful voices ever!  She has been out of the spotlight for quite some time and I’m glad to hear her again.  She was on “Regis & Kelly” this morning to perform a song entitled, “You want me too.”

Paul McCartney is mad at McDonalds! October 7, 2008

Sir Paul is pissed! He is a known vegetarian and is mad at McDonalds because they put up pictures of the Beatles to attract customers.

Sir Paul’s spokesman Geoff Baker fumed: “What sort of morons do McDonald’s think Beatles fans are?

“It’s ridiculous and insulting to use images to peddle hamburgers. Fans should boycott McDonald’s — and not just in Liverpool.”

A PETA spokeswoman said: “He became a vegetarian after watching lambs play in a field outside his home and surely would not want anyone to use his likeness to help promote meat.

“We hope anyone who sees his picture on the wall will be reminded that he’s a vegetarian and skip the Big Mac for a veggie burger.”

A McDonald’s spokeswoman insisted the pictures were to “acknowledge the outstanding contribution the Beatles made to both local and global culture”.

Eddie Izzard is one of the funniest men alive!  He was on Graham Norton this weekend along with voice actor Harry Shearer who does loads of voices on “The Simpsons.”

In this first clip Eddie tells Graham that who could play the role of a psychotic quite easily and Harry chats about getting fired due to him saying, “Penis.”  Eddie also casually forgets who he plays in the new Tom Cruise flick, “Valkyrie!”
