For a one-hour show she will be paid 4.4 million dollars to entertain 2,000 guests at the opening of the Atlantis Hotel on the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah.  You can expect to see many top celebrities, politicians and of course the Dubai Royal Family in attendance.

The 1539-room luxury hotel, which is expected to welcome its first guests on September 24th.

Laila Ali welcomes baby boy! September 11, 2008

Laila Ali and her husband Curtis Conway welcomed a baby boy on August 26th. The baby actually has a normal name, Curtis Muhammad Conway.  He weighed in at 6 pounds 8 ounces and 19 inches long.  Laila’s rep said, “Mom and baby are both healthy and happy.”

This is the first child for the couple who wed on July 23, 2007.  Ali is also step-mother to Conways’, twelve-year-old twin sons Cameron and Kelton and eight-year-old Leilani.

I was away for a few days and missed out on the VMA’s.  I’ve just watched it and thought Russy did a good job!  But why was he so obsessed with the Jonas Brothers?  Did Britney really deserve those awards?  Nope.

Yeah as if its at all possible for Supermodel Adriana Lima to ever look ugly!  That chick is hot!

Adriana was filming a scene for her cameo appearance on ABC’s hit show, “Ugly Betty” yesterday in Central Park.  This is her first appearance in television, her rep Liza Anderson says, “Adriana has always been a huge fan of Ugly Betty and is thrilled for the opportunity to make a guest star appearance.”

Lima will be hired to pose on the pages of Mode’s “sizzling hot issue” and will work with Betty Suarez (America Ferrera) on a cover story about the virtues of exotic fruit, including the fictional “tico berry,” which the Vicoria’s Secret model — playing herself — will credit as a booster to her sexy appearance.
