Dave Matthews Band member dies
This is such horrible news! Legendary saxaphone player for The Dave Matthews Band, LeRoi Moore has passed away at the age of 46. He had been seriously injured in an ATV accident on June 30th and recently went back to the hospital due to complications.
A rep for DMB says, “LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. Moore had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program.”
The band performed as scheduled tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. I can’t imagine how tough that must be to do for the guys. I can’t wait for 2008 to be over, so many people dying this year!
My prayers go out to his family and friends.
