New cast member announced for Office spin-off? July 16, 2008

The word on the streets is that they have hired a new cast member for the new and highly anticipated Office spin-off.

Baby Mama star Amy Poehler will be joining the cast of the not yet named (as far as we know) show. She will be joining hilarious comic Aziz Ansari who was the first cast member to be announced.

How will this affect her spot on SNL? Well I’m sure she was ready to retire her spot on “Weekend Update” and wanted to retire anyhow. On to bigger and better things! Congrats Amy!

I can’t wait to hear more about this show. They are keeping it so hush hush!
