OMG they look so old and wrinkly.
I remember when they were the hottest studs in music.

ha ha ha I don’t think I ever found their look to be that great, it’s their music that always kept my attention.

  3. Spider Says:

Duran Duran still rocks! Everyone should see them at least once in there lifetime. “Red Carpet Massacre” is a great album, that now skeptics and detractors are starting to dig. People were highly critical when the album first came out in Nov. ‘07…but now sales suggest it’s growing on so many and the tunes are now catching on!!

Hey Stockroom. The guys still look a whole hell of a lot better than a lot of 80s and newer bands out there now!!!

They sound awesome! Just added a few more clips. Enjoy!

Sales are catching on!!! RCM was one of the biggest bombs of the year and is one of the only times Duran Duran has not put an alnum ot single in the top 40, they are sure to get dumped by the record label. RCM was terrible. Live they can still cut it. But they keep they keep trying to rehash Ordinary world!! get over it guys!

  7. Pickle Says:

spelctic, do your homework. RCM does kick ass! You seem like the typical closet fan who would never admit to liking something for fear of ridicule! You need to freakin get over it! This album is indeed catching on and according to a couple of reliable sources-sales have surpassed 100K. So don’t be stupid nor pessimistic and start having a little faith. Duran doesn’t need a label at all. I’m sure they’ve caught on to a few contemporary ideas about marketing. Don’t write them off yet!!!! We (the fans and you too) should be freakin thankful that Duran are still around and recording!!! If they weren’t–who would you be bitchin about then?????

  8. John Says:

Amen to that Pickle! I believe! I sure hope Mark Ronson produces their next album. I still believe Duran Duran can still hit it big once again!!

  9. Blue Silver Says:

Spelctic, FYI: RCM placed #36 opening week in Nov. according to Billboard magazine. They may have squeaked by but nonetheless made it in Top 40. Had RCM been released in May or June it would have placed, believe it or not, in the Top 10. Given that Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, and Seal released their albums on the same day–made RCM debut look just that worse. But even the #10 album in June sold 24K units! So RCM did ok despite not getting any airplay nor proper marketing from Sony. Duran should dump their label and do their own marketing a la Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails!!! Pairing up with Mark Ronson suggests that they’ve put on their thinking caps. It would be a colossal opportunity to do another James Bond theme with Ronson. Go for it Duran!!

Doing their own marketing has worked out great for Radiohead and NIN. I agree that working with Ronson was a brilliant idea!
