The buzz around the net is that this is going to be a feature film. Comedic team Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel wanted to tell an apocalypse story with a funny twist.
The story revolves around two guys who, with the end the world unfolding and the planet invaded by monsters, are ready to kill each other after being cooped up together for too long.
Goldberg and Jason Stone came up with the story, and Stone directed a short trailer for it in 2007 in hopes that the concept could one day be turned into a movie. Speculation is that this movie could start shooting in 2009 but with Rogen working on all of the upcoming Apatow’s films & The Green Hornet who knows when he will have time.
Baruchel just finished wrapping up “She’s Out of My League” for DreamWorks and will next appear in the Ben Stiller comedy “Tropic Thunder” who knows when it will happen.
