Madonna auction breaks new record!
The Material Girl parted with a few personal possessions — a custom-made white guitar and the contents of her handbag — at a benefit to raise money for AIDS research. She emptied her purse and came up with a magnifying mirror, hair clips, skin blotting tissues and lip gloss. She put it on the block along with a one-of-a-kind diamond-encrusted alligator bag donated by Chanel. The lot sold for $472,000. The 49-year-old singer asked the crowd not to insult her with low bids: “This lip gloss touched my lips.”
The annual Cinema Against AIDS gala, hosted by Sharon Stone, is one of the hottest tickets at Cannes each year, with hundreds of guests traveling to nearby Mougins for an auction dinner held in a giant marquee.
The rich and famous lined a packed red carpet on Thursday, including Madonna, Diddy, and Stone, actor Dennis Hopper, Harvey Weinstein and actress Natalie Portman.

Here is your first look at this new comedy by the same folks that brought you Talladega Nights. In this flick he teams up again with John C. Reilly but this time they are step brothers.
The Plot:
“Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. Amy Winehouse wins at the Ivor Awards
Too bad she showed up too late to accept it. Her dad was on hand to receive the award and to update everyone on her health and well being. He says: “Amy unfortunately couldn’t make it but she’s getting better and she sends you all her love. She’s asked me to thank the Ivors for being the first to recognize her talent.”
I don’t think they are the first to recognize it really. Most think she is very talented just a big ass mess! She is currently on her way to a rehab in Israel. Eliezer Cohen, chairman of the Israel Anti-Drug Authority, claimed the clinic agreed to treat Amy following a request from her management. “They spoke to a renowned Israeli institution and an Israeli professor who conducts a very special and effective method. She has requested to come to him to do this method, since it’s a method that is suitable for her,” Cohen explained.
(Sorry guys but this has a commercial first, looks rather boring with Bill Gates, I will find a better one and post as soon as I get it!)
