Actor Dennis Farina has been arrested at LAX airport today after he was found carrying a gun on his way to board a plane. Farina who is known for playing a detective on television claims he was carrying the .22 caliber pistol on a drive from Arizona to Los Angeles and forgot it was in his briefcase when he tried to pass through airport security, police said in a statement.
Farina was a Chicago police officer for 20 years before making a career change to acting in the 1980s. He has starred in movies such as “Get Shorty” and “Sidewalks of New York” and is best known in the role of NY Detective Joe Fontana on, “Law & Order.”
