What a gorgeous man. I’m so jealous…not even gonna lie.
Ryan Reynolds has some of the best comic timing I’ve seen in a long time. There’s a space between what is said and what isn’t on screen in a film, where the humor hovers very delicately, and Ryan nails that space to the laugh-your-ass-off wall, PERFECTLY, every single time. (He was astonishing in “Waiting”. HELLarious.) Years of theater training can’t teach an actor how to perfect that delicate nuance. It’s something you’re just born with. You either “have it”, or you don’t. He reminds me quite a bit of of Dan Akroyd in his younger years. (Someone should get Reynolds on-board this new Ghostbusters movie supposedly coming out in the next year, hint-hint…he could pass for Akryod’s nephew or something…) Aside from his natural comedic abilities, Ryan’s dramatic timing is pretty superb as well, and frankly, our idiot media hasn’t the training about what REAL acting is, to have taken notice of him yet. (“Definitely, Maybe” proved he can act a dramatic/romantic role just as poignantly as a comedic one.) I guess the media is going to end-up taking notice now, and I expect the POS scripts to be coming his way for read-throughs now that he’s married to a Golden Globe recipient. I sure hope he has excellent management and agency reps to guide him through picking and choosing the right roles. At the very least, he’s got a great personal adviser on such matters sharing his last name now. Congrats to the groom and his deserving bride.
